CRV starts new decennium strongly
CRV has started the new decade strongly. Black-and-white O-Man son Impuls debuts at 4th place in the Dutch/Flemish index list. At the Red-and-white section, Talent son Harmony makes a remarkable debute. Art-Acres Win 395, Delta Canvas and Delta Paramount rise in the rankings, impressing with their second crop results.
At his first index run, Woudhoeve 1042 Impuls (+239 NVI) is CRV’s highest ranked bull. With +239 NVI, he ranks number 4. Impuls is the result of a dream combination between the famous O-Man and one of Holland’s best cow families, the Woudhoeve Pietje family. His production transmission pattern is ideal with +1637 kg milk, -0,06% fat and +0.07% protein. He combines this with a total confirmation score of 108 and high scores for health related traits (106 somatic cell score). With his high milk yield and good protein content together with good type and health scores, Impuls’ breeding transmission pattern fits perfectly in the breeding goal of CRV.

DT Impress’ (+194 NVI) pedigree is just as impressive as that of Impuls. Impress is also sired by O-Man while his dam is a VG87 Aaron from the famous Grietje family. This former InSire bull has a production breeding transmission pattern of +713 kg milk, +0.07% fat and +0.18% protein. He transmits strong attached (107), shallow (111) udders, with a low somatic cell count (105).
Another new O-Man son is Lady’s Manor Omen (+170 NVI). His dam was sired by Garter. He transmits a lot of milk (+2178 kg), without compromising on udder health. His somatic cell score is 109 and his breeding value for udder health is 104. Besides, his exceptional high breeding value for calving ease (114) makes him particularly suitable as a partner for maiden heifers.
Trait leaders
Coyne-Farms Marshal Yank (119 NVI) is sired by BW Marshall and his dam is the famous Milkworth Manfred Yadda VG-86. Yank combines very high milk yield (+1765 kg) with good scores on all type traits which leads to a total conformation score of 112. In particular, his breeding values for udder traits are ideal. He transmits shallow udders (105) that are strongly attached (105) at the front and highly attached (112) at the rear with a very strong udder cleft (111) and average teat length (101). With his unique breeding pattern he scores highly internationally as well. This also applies for Ralma O-Man Cf Cricket (225 NVI) who rose in 9 points NVI resulting in a place in the Dutch/Flemish NVI-top 10.

With an excellent conformation score of 118, Forward is CRV’s new breed leader on conformation. Forward breeds very good frames (110) and real show udders (115 rear udder, 109 central ligament). He uniquely scores 119 points frame with 118 locomotion.
Jockoson Goolstar Diamond (+234 NVI) dashed into the top 3 of the NVI ranking a year ago. Meanwhile, his daughters have started their second lactation. He still shows very good production breeding values: +867 kg milk, +0.25% fat, +0.08% protein. Furthermore, his feet and legs score and his udder score rise one point from the previous index run. With this breeding pattern, Diamond is the highest Dutch/Flemish tested Jocko son.

Red-and-white top 3 remains unchanged
The red-and-white top 3 of Holland and Flanders remains unchanged. Number 1 is Heihoeve Delta Spencer (+276 NVI), number 2 is Delta Fidelity (+268 NVI) and number 3 is Heihoeve Arnold (+254 NVI). Kian son Apina Curtis (+188 NVI) rises 8 points in his NVI score to +188. He breeds cows with good total conformation scores (112). With their very good udders (110) they produce lots of milk (+1519) with very good udders (110). He has shown his great conformation proof by daughter groups at several shows.
The breeding values of Stadel son Delta Classic (+118 NVI) are based on 7702 daughters. With this number of progeny his conformation score is still rising and currently stands at 116. This shows Classic’s capacity of breeding show winning cows.
